Music
Every child learns an instrument, and we perform in school, in church and in our community.
Our music curriculum is rotated so that children learn a different instrument as they move through school: ocarina in Ruby Class (Years 1 and 2), recorders in Emerald Class (Years 3 and 4) and ukulele in Sapphire Class (Years 5 and 6).
Alongside instrumental teaching, children sing regularly, listen to and appraise a wide range of music, and compose their own pieces.
We perform in the community, at charity events and at our church, giving children real audiences and a real sense of pride in their music.
