Computing

Our computing curriculum gives children the opportunity to learn and develop in a rapidly advancing technological world. We teach a skills-based curriculum in which experiential and experimental learning lets children explore new software and hardware and discover what each can do.

We follow the Purple Mash scheme of work, which is aligned to the national curriculum for computing. Units run on a two-year cycle with built-in practice, retrieval and reinforcement so that key concepts stick in the long-term memory.

Online safety is taught throughout, so children learn to use technology responsibly as well as skilfully.
