We recognise the importance of every child having the best possible start in life, which then supports them to fulfil their potential for their whole educational journey. Children learn and develop more between birth and five than at any other time, which is why our investment in the Early Years is fundamental to our philosophy.
We follow an approach built on high quality, open-ended play and quality interactions between children and adults. From Little Gems through to Topaz Class, children learn through child-initiated activity indoors and outdoors, continuously developing early vocabulary, language and social skills.
Phonics begins in Nursery with listening to sounds and continues into Reception with the Little Wandle programme, so children are reading simple books early and with confidence.
