Online Safety
Helping children to be SMART, kind and safe online.
Online safety is taught throughout our computing curriculum and revisited in assemblies and class discussion. Children learn to keep personal information private, to think carefully about what they share, and to be as kind online as they are face to face.
We teach children that unkind behaviour online is bullying, and that they should always tell a trusted adult if something they see or receive makes them uncomfortable. No child will ever be in trouble for telling us.
At home, talking regularly about what your child does online is the single most effective thing you can do. Keeping devices in shared spaces, checking age ratings and using parental controls all help too.
